Omar Khaled of Ayna, and Eugene Lomize from Yandex will give delegates an insight into the current state of search in those markets, as well as advice on how they can optimise their campaigns to reach a wider audience through the local search engines.

Ayna is a leading search engine in the Arab world, servicing millions of Arabic speaking web users in the Middle East and North Africa, while Yandex is the market leader in Russia, with more than twice as many users as Google. Key Asian markets including Chinese, Japan and Korea will also be examined in the session Google’s on-off relationship with Asia when Asia specialist Barry Lloyd of Unica will discuss how to manage search campaigns in the region.

The International Search Summit, run by multilingual search agency WebCertain, is dedicated to international and multilingual search and social media marketing and aims to arm delegates with practical information to help them improve the effectiveness of their international web marketing efforts and improve their global ROI.

Andy Atkins-Krüger, CEO of WebCertain says, “These markets have all seen significant growth in the number of internet users and offer global organisations huge opportunity to reach a wide, receptive audience. However, it is not possible to simply deploy the same marketing strategy across all countries, and Eugene, Omar and Barry will educate delegates on how to best reach and engage with users in their specific markets”.

Other speakers at the Summit, which will be held at The British Library in London, include search and social media specialist Marty Weintraub and Massimo Burgio, who is co-chair of the SEMPO Global Committee.
