Street Art Norge Unveils Inaugural SHE Art Exhibition Celebrating Female Artists

Oslo, Norway, 11.03.2024 – Street Art Norge is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural SHE Art exhibition, set to open on International Women’s Day, March 8th, at its gallery space in Vulkan, Oslo. The exhibition is dedicated to showcasing the works of approximately 30 talented female artists from Norway and the Nordic region, spanning an impressive 850 square meters.

SHE Art is born out of a desire to create a dedicated platform that highlights and celebrates the contributions of female artists in the realms of street art, graffiti, urban art, contemporary art, and pop art. The exhibition, which runs from March 8th to March 31st, will feature between one to ten artworks from each participating artist, along with pieces from art collectors, offering a comprehensive view of the diversity and richness of female artistic expression.

This year’s lineup includes nearly 30 artists hailing from various parts of Norway, such as Bergen, Hønefoss, Tromsø, Asker, and Oslo, as well as international talent Anetta Lukjanova from Helsinki. Among the featured artists are notable names like Barnslig, Pink Boneyard, Lise Artworks, and many more, representing both established and emerging talents in the art scene.

The SHE Art exhibition is more than just an art show; it is a statement, a movement, and a celebration of female creativity and empowerment. It aims to increase awareness and appreciation of women’s art, providing a significant platform for artists to showcase their work to a broader audience.

Street Art Norge, Norway’s first permanent street art gallery, has established itself as a key player in the Nordic art scene since its opening in February 2024. With a mission to collect, preserve, document, and exhibit street art, the gallery aims to contribute to Oslo and Norway’s goals of becoming cultural powerhouses. SHE Art is a step forward in this mission, establishing an annual event that honors the artistic achievements of women.

The gallery plans to host a series of exhibitions throughout 2024, with SHE Art being one of the highlighted events. Street Art Norge’s long-term goal includes the establishment of a digital and physical museum dedicated to Street Art, Graffiti, and Urban Art in Oslo.

The SHE Art exhibition invites art enthusiasts, collectors, and the general public to explore and celebrate the extraordinary talents of female artists. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at Vulkan 15, 0178 Oslo. For more information, please visit www.StreetArtNorge.no or contact Ola Hanø at ola@streetartnorge.no.
