SEMMY nomination for international SEO article

Webcertain’s Andy Atkins-Krüger has been nominated for a SEMMY award for his post The Top 10 Pitfalls of International SEO, which was published on TopRankBlog. SEMMYnom

The SEMMY awards were created in 2008 to recognise the excellent content written within the search and online marketing industries and nominees are selected by a committee of experts who monitor and collect articles across the year.

The nominees will be whittled down to 5-6 finalists in each category by a separate group of search marketing experts and then the public will be able to vote for their favourite. Voting will open on 25th January for 5 days.

There are 30 nominations in the SEO category from a range of industry renowned names however there is just one international SEO post in the list.

UK based Web Marketing Company Takes Global Social Media Training to Spain

Use International Search to beat the recession – it works for Google!

Businesses are being advised to target international markets, especially those already exiting the recession, in order to drive sales and growth.

Figures released by Google this week have shown that Google’s financial performance is being particularly bolstered by markets other than the US and UK – two countries which have not yet shown many signs of economic recovery. Google’s growth in international markets has been five times faster in 2009 than in 2008 and five times faster than in the US this year. The search giant has actually seen a decline of 8% in the UK.

International Search Summit goes to Norway

The next Summit, which is the only event to focus solely on international and multilingual search marketing, will be taking place in Oslo on 13th March, 2009 at the Radisson SAS Oslo Scandinavia Hotel.
