Business report discusses impact of learning technologies on talent management

SuccessFactors, an SAP company and Business Execution specialist, released a report that focuses on the impact of learning technologies on business agility, efficiency and talent management. The report, titled ‘Boosting Business Agility’, is the annual benchmark report of the ‘Towards Maturity Ambassador Programme’ of which SuccessFactors is a founding member.

With over 600 organisations participating in the report, the results reveal that 77 percent of organisations believe learning technologies will help them respond faster to changing business conditions and that 69 percent are looking to improve their talent management strategies.

The current economic climate has forced organisations to revisit learning strategies; poor skills are shackling the economy. According to the report, 47 percent of employers recognise that their staff lacks the skills to do their job. There are clearly some large gaps that need to be filled. As a result, growth is being affected.

Learning is not just about pushing formal generic programmes into the business. Learning is about discovering new methods and technologies that can improve productivity and performance in the workplace.
