Google To Speak on Geo-Targeting and Multilingual Content In Munich

SMX ISSGoogle Webmaster Trends Analyst John Müller has been confirmed as a speaker at the International Search Summit at SMX Munich on 29th March.

John’s session will concentrate on Google’s handling of international content and its recent introduction of a new markup for multilingual web pages.  He will advise delegates on how to implement the rel=”alternate” hreflang markup and discuss its implications on international SEO and geo-targeting.

Geo-targeting is an oft debated topic for international marketers and delegates at the Summit will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the topic with Q&A sessions and breakout discussion groups.

The International Search Summit dives deep into the challenges and issues facing marketers running search and social campaigns across multiple languages and markets and focuses exclusively on topics relating to international search marketing. The International Search takes place entirely in English.

Other sessions at the Munich Summit, which is being held as part of Search Marketing Expo München, include Search Plus Your World, International Link Building, International PPC Case Study and Global Search & Social Trends.

Speakers include Bastian Grimm of Grimm Digital, Tracy Falke from Streetsmart Social and Andy Atkins-Krüger of WebCertain.

Early Bird Rates for the International Search Summit are available until Friday 10th February, with Summit only and ISS-SMX Combo passes on offer.
