Superb wine tasting evenings revealed for Christmas cheer

The Colchester Wine Company has taken the lid off its festive offers.

The Colchester Wine Company has opened its box of festive bounty, offering some amazing wine tasting evenings to drinkers all over the country. The festivities kick off on December 3, with the ‘Director’s Christmas Cup’ : a proper jacket and tie dinner affair that includes excellent champagne, a full sit down dinner and a gorgeous Christmas themed wine tasting. The event is repeated on December 10, and is the ideal way to get into the festive spirit. Guests will arrive in the Colchester Company’s Tasting Cellar at 7.15, for a 7.30 kick off  tickets for both events are £69 per person. A snip for the wine lover in anyone’s life!

Then there’s the Christmas Wine Tasting event itself  an informal champagne and wine tasting event with a smart casual dress code. The event commences at 12 noon on Sunday December 12 and is augmented by carriage rides at 2pm!

There are, of course, countless incredible bottles, vintages, varietals and flavours on offer from the Colchester Company at this time of year. The head buyers there are getting very excited about a certain Sauvignon Blanc, which is already being heralded as the finest Sauv Blanc of a generation; whilst for the heavier palate there’s a whole range of vintage clarets, just right for those long Christmas dinners. The Colchester Wine Company has unveiled a team of clarets from the 70s and 80s, perfectly ripened for wine lovers with a palate that leans towards intense smoky flavours. The vintage claret selection starts with a bottle at just £13.99, so there’s definitely something here for every budget.

So Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat: while the wine merchant is getting ready for the biggest sales of the year. Don’t miss out, get in fast and get festive.
