Hacker prevention and computer security event to host ethical hacker certification coursesA selection of ethical hacker certification courses will be taking place at Hacker Halted Europe 2013, the world’s foremost hacker prevention and computer security event.

This will be the first Hacker Halted event to take place in Europe and will be held on 7th and 8th October 2013 at the HARPA Conference Centre in Reykjavik, Iceland; organisers expect over 450 people to attend the event.

The event is set to feature renowned speakers and industry experts who will be highlighting current digital security threats, and discussing the various means of protection and countermeasures in dealing with these threats.

Hacker Halted Europe will be holding the Hacker Halted Academy, an array of seminars run by top training companies and led by well-respected instructors.

Each course is recognised by the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), including Certified Ethical Hacker, Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator, Certified Security Analyst, Advanced Penetration Testing, Advanced Mobile Hacking & Forensics, Advanced Network Defence, Hacking Secure Encryption and Countermeasures, Securing Windows Infrastructure, and CISSP®.

The International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) is a member-based organisation that certifies individuals in various information security and e-business skills. As of January 1st, 2012, EC-Council has trained over 120,000 individuals and certified more than 50,000 security professionals. Many of these certifications are recognised worldwide and have received endorsements from various government agencies including the U.S. Federal Government via the Montgomery GI Bill, National Security Agency (NSA), and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).
