MBAF promotes marketing team to support firm’s growth

Nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF) today announced the promotions of members of the firm’s marketing department. Hortensia Sampedro Hacker, who previously served as the Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. The firm also announced Carolina Argiz Orozco has been promoted to Marketing and Business Development Manager, and Jennifer Valdes and Valeria Sanchez have been promoted to Associate Marketing Managers. The announcements were made by Chairman and CEO, Tony Argiz.

In her new role, Sampedro Hacker will oversee the development of brand strategy, corporate communications and publicity, the execution of community relations programs, and provide digital marketing and direct sales support, including training and coaching. She has been with the firm nearly eight years, and brings more than 20 years experience in the banking industry and 15 years of experience with non-profit organizations. Her clients have ranged from commercial small- and medium-size businesses, to high net worth individuals, to corporate, institutional, international and sovereign relationships.

Sampedro Hacker is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Association for Accounting Marketing and Baker Tilly International – Marketing SIG. She serves as President of the CINTAS Foundation, and Commodore of the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. Sampedro Hacker holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. She also completed a post graduate study program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business in Business, Government and the International Economy.

Argiz Orozco previously served as Marketing and Events Coordinator, and in her new position, she will work on new business development and will continue with marketing responsibilities for special events and managing the firm’s non-profit sponsorships. Argiz Orozco is actively involved in Miami’s philanthropic community, and has served on the cabinet of the United Way of Miami-Dade and the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade. Argiz Orozco received a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.

Valdes and Sanchez previously served as marketing specialists, and will now have direct responsibility to execute the firm’s marketing goals. Valdes will be responsible for the department’s creative projects, including the design and production of all advertising projects, marketing collateral materials including business proposals. Sanchez will be responsible for the department’s direct marketing initiatives and database including digital initiatives. Valdes is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Miami Dade College. Sanchez is a graduate of Florida International University.
