A host of international and Icelandic speakers will be addressing the Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference and Expo (RIMC 2008) to be held on February 8th in Reykjavik, Iceland.
International and Icelandic experts in online media and marketing will be speaking at the conference, with Icelandic Minister of Commerce Björgvin Sigurdarson delivering the keynote speech.
This year’s RIMC will be held on the tenth anniversary of the founding of mbl.is – the online edition of the Icelandic national paper, Morgunbladid. Olafur Nielsen, expert from Morgunbladid’s Internet department, will explain how the online publication has reaped the benefits of using the web analytics software, IndexTools.
Other conference speakers include Mel Carson, the head of AdCenter Microsoft, who will speak on how best to use Pay Per Click, and Dennis Mortensen, COO of IndexTools, who will discuss web analytics and its important role in measuring website success.
The RIMC conference will appeal to marketing and advertising people, web editors, sales and marketing managers, directors of small and large businesses, as well as anyone involved in business on the Internet.
The RIMC Expo, which will take place alongside the conference, will play host to a number of businesses exhibiting products and services that relate to advertising, publicity and the Internet. The event has been hailed as an excellent venue for peer-to-peer networking and a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in marketing and advertising.
The conference is being organised by Ingvar Hjalmarsson, Web Editor at mbl.is, and Kristjan Mar Hauksson, Director of Nordic eMarketing, and will take place on Friday 8th February at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica.
Admission to the conference costs USD 450 if attendees are registered before 24th January and USD 800 afterwards.
