Tourists Soar to Ayrshire based Rowallan Activity Centre

JökulsárlónRowallan Activity Centre, located just 20 minutes from Glasgow’s city centre, is fast becoming one of Britain’s best and most exciting activity centres.

Last weekend witnessed more than 2,500 people visiting East Ayrshire to watch the 2009 British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) Champions of Scotland. The event was a fantastic success with Douglas Duffin from Fife winning first prize in the Foxhunter Second Round Qualifier for The Horse of The Year Show (HOYS). Douglas commented:
“I am delighted to have qualified for the Horse of The Year Show with my horse, Aquilano at the weekend. I know the centre and the Rowallan family very well and I always enjoy competing in such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.”

The centre, nestled in East Ayrshire’s scenic countryside, provides the perfect backdrop for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of Glasgow’s centre. It also hosts a number of amenities such as a restaurant, shop, an outdoor paint balling centre and an amusement arcade which is open to the public seven days a week. There are already plans for the launch of a function room later in the year and discussions are currently taking place for the creation of more outdoor activities at the centre.

From 31st July – 2nd August East Ayrshire can expect more than 3,000 visitors to Rowallan Activity Centre for The International Pony Show – one of the biggest events on the equestrian calendar. Best of all, it is totally free!
