Internet marketing conference in Iceland

Now in its second year, the Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference and Expo is only getting bigger – but with the huge breadth of renowned speakers on the schedule, it’s easy to see why.

The Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference in 2008 was attended by more than 300 internet experts, including a crop of world class speakers and workshop managers. Attendees rated the event very highly in the online evaluation.

Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference 2009 is to go ahead on the 20th March and is set to be even better than the last, with big names lined up from organisations including Google, Microsoft, IBM and Nordic eMarketing.

Google Search Evangelist Adam Lasnik is going to talk about search engines in a special session.

The Search Engines discussion will also include Mel Carson from Microsoft, Rand Fiskin, CEO of SEOmoz and Eugene Lomize from Yandex. The session will be moderated by Hjalmar Gislason from Iceland Telecom.

There are six other sessions during the day, called: Site Usability and Accessibility, Youth Marketing Online, social Marketing and Internet Technology, Online Reputation and PR, Case Studies and Success Stories and an interesting look at Websites: Do’s and Don’ts.

Dixon Jones from Receptional and Omni Marketing’s Shari Thurow will also offer a stimulating workshop session along with Anne Kennedy, one of the Managing Partners at Beyond Ink.

The Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference & Expo is the brainchild of Iceland-based international communications companies Arvakur and Nordic eMarketing.

Nordic eMarketing is one of Northern Europe’s most recognised online marketing, SEO and PR companies; and Arvakur is a the publisher of Iceland’s most successful newspaper and news website, Morgunbladid.

Attendees at RIMC 2009 will be able to choose between two tracks: ‘the Business Track’ and ‘the Hands-on Workshop Track’.
