C O D E S spark a KEANE interest.

Every once in a while a band comes along that justifies the hype and blows your mind. That band are Dublin based indie electronic quartet C O D E S who, after only 2 years together have already been personally invited by indie legends Keane to support them at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on Friday 23rd and Dublin’s brand new O2 Arena on Sunday 25th January. Having amassed a loyal fan base through their highly charged live shows the quartet will also make an almighty wave on English shores when they perform their London showcase at The Fly (New Oxford Street) on Tuesday 3rd February.

C O D E S music bridges the gap somewhere in between the soundtrack and the stadium, the expansive yet melodic, the powerful but delicate. Having also released 3 critically acclaimed Irish Top 40 singles they have already achieved in 2 years more than most bands achieve in a lifetime.
Working with long time Manic Street Preachers collaborator & highly acclaimed producer Greg Haver the boys recorded their debut album (set for release in Autumn) in Gloucestershire’s Modern World Studios. The tracks were then mixed in Auckland, New Zealand (on the same desk as Jeff Buckley’s Grace!) before finally being mastered in New York with world-renowned-mastering-guru Greg Calbi (U2/Rem/Interpol/Kings of Leon).

The lads have promised a ‘winter inspired album, big in sound and stature’. Incorporating everything from ‘duelling string quartets, Russian radio broadcasts and generally wreaking havoc with the entire sonic spectrum,’ their sound offers diversity, originality as well as mainstream appeal…. Catch them now before they explode!
