Update: TEST & GO, Travel to Thailand quarantine-free

Thailand is easing restrictions for fully vaccinated young travellers from, currently, 63 countries, including those from the Nordics and the Baltics, and unvaccinated children under 18 years.

The Royal Thai Government Gazette has officially announced the further easing rules for travellers entering Thailand under the Exemption from Quarantine (TEST & GO) entry scheme, effective from 16 December 2021.

What’s new?

  • Children aged under 6 years travelling with parents are exempted from taking an RT-PCR test 72 hours before departure.
  • Children aged 12-18 years do not need to present a certificate of vaccination if they are travelling with their parents. If they are travelling alone, they need to show a certificate of vaccination at least 1 dose of the accepted vaccine.
  • Those who have recovered from Covid-19 must present a certificate of recovery together with a certificate of vaccination showing 1 dose of an accepted vaccine.
  • Those infected and who have recovered no less than 14 days but no longer than 3 months may present a certificate of recovery in case the RT-PCR test result is positive.
  • Children aged under 18 travelling with parents should register for Thailand Pass QR Code together with their parents or guardians and not separately.
