SES London 2013 to feature duplicate content issues session by Kristjan Mar Hauksson

SES London 2013, the anticipated Internet marketing strategies event, will be featuring a Duplicate Content & Multiple Site Issues session by Kristjan Mar Hauksson, the founder of Nordic eMarketing and SEMPO board member.

As part of the session taking place on 21st February, Hauksson will be covering the issues regarding duplicated content, and consequences. If you run mirror sites, will search engines ban you? What happens if you syndicate content through RSS and feeds? Will other sites be considered the “real” site and rob you of a rightful place in the search results?

This session will take a look at the various options available to address duplicate content, including 301 redirect; 302 redirect; Canonical tag; Author markup; Rel next and rel prev tags; and deletion of duplicate content.

Kristjan Mar Hauksson is the founder and director of search and online communications at Nordic eMarketing. The company specialises in multilingual online communications, organic search engine optimisation, and marketing through several verticals such as tourism, finance, government, and pharmaceuticals.
