Datamax-O’Neil Offers Extended Warranty Service Agreements for its Entire Printer Portfolio

Value-Added Service Options and Warranty Programs Give Partners an Expanded Offering to End-User Customers

Datamax-O’Neil, part of Dover Corporation’s Product Identification Group and global provider of label and receipt printing solutions, announces the availability of extended warranty agreements and value added service options to its European and North American partners. Similar programs are being tailored for partners in other regions, and will be announced in the near future.

“We are excited and pleased to provide a simple and consistent structure to our expanded service offering that enables our customers the flexibility to select an option that best meets their individual requirements,” said Wayne Campbell, director of Global Technical Support for Datamax-O’Neil. “As the printer manufacturer, we are the best source for repairs and service, and we can offer it cost effectively with well-trained technicians using genuine Datamax-O’Neil parts.”

The standard one-year warranty can be extended in increments of 1, 2 and 4 years, making the total available warranty coverage period at 2, 3 and 5 years. Because the microFlash and PrintPad printers come with a standard 2-year warranty, an additional 1-year or 3-year warranty can be purchased, increasing the total warranty coverage period to 3 or 5 years, respectively.

In addition, there are three service options now available. (1) Priority is an expedited 2-day turnaround and return freight on warranty repairs when speed is a top consideration (standard warranty is 5-day turnaround via ground freight). (2) Comprehensive provides ‘no fault’ comprehensive coverage on parts and labor giving customers assurance that Datamax-O’Neil will handle the cost of repairs. (3) Printer Express is an overnight exchange program through a managed pool of customer-owned inventory that ensures printers are available when needed.

“These new programs and service options provide our partners the ability to offer an expanded menu of value-added service programs to their customers,” Campbell explained. “Customers can have peace of mind knowing that they are receiving the very best service at the most competitive price. Ultimately, it’s a win-win-win for our partners, end-users, and Datamax-O’Neill.”
