The Asbru Enterprise Park in Iceland is set to become the next ideal location for data center management and services, due to the country’s renewable green energy sources.
Verne Holdings, the partnering group of wholesale data developer Verne Global has recently signed a contract with the Wellcome Trust to aid the completion of a 44-acre data center campus at the Asbru Enterprise Park in order to create a powerful solution giving users the opportunity to go green without paying higher rates.

Business development, education and entrepreneurship are being greatly pushed in Iceland via the Asbru Enterprise Park, Keflavik. The Keilir: Atlantic Center of Excellence, located within the park, offers dedicated academic programs and flight training, whilst Iceland’s first data centre and other ventures such as medical tourism are also taking place at Asbru.
The Asbru Enterprise Park, in conjunction with Kadeco, is helping to combine medical advancements with medical tourism. A hospital specialising in joint replacements, weight loss surgery and other medical treatments is set to commence within the second quarter of 2010. The hospital will house around 35 beds, three operating theatres and all together have the capability of treating up to 4,000 patients per year.

An innovative venture by Kadeco, combining medical advancements with medical tourism, is set to begin in the second quarter of 2010 at the Asbru Enterprise Park in Keflavik, Iceland.
An ex-military hospital in the Asbru Enterprise Park, situated near Keflavik International Airport, is expected to have substantial renovations in the second quarter of 2010. The hospital specialising in fat-removal, joint replacements and other medical treatments will house around 35 hospital beds, three operating theatres and all together have the capability of treating up to 4,000 patients per year.

Asbru Enterprise Park located close to Iceland’s International Airport now accomodates a brand new full size film studio. Atlantic Studios recently opened the film studio that it is, according to Atlantic, large enough to handle the shooting of large complex films such as James Bond movies.
The film studio is located is in a former aircraft hanger of the late american military navel base in Keflavik used during the cold war. The building has been under heavy renovations in the last few months and is now soundproof. Read more…
