For centuries, the deserts of Arabia have held a special fascination to Westerners and The Adventure Company’s nine-day Petra and Wadi Rum trip allows travellers to find out why. Wildlife encounters in Tanzania

Walking in the Himalayas – save £140
The Adventure Company’s Himalayan Explorer is a good option for keen walkers who want to enjoy a moderate level of trekking in the Himalayas without the challenges of high altitudes. Expeditions will include a three-day porter-assisted trek into the Annapurna foothills and, taking a break from walking, a journey by elephant and canoe in search of wildlife in Chitwan National Park.
