November 29th, 2008 No comments

Teknomek are a leading manufacturer and supplier of stainless steel products for hygiene conscious industries.

Continually striving to produce more choice and convenience for their extensive customer base, Teknomek have designed and manufactured a state-of-the-art serving trolley.

This food service trolley is custom-manufactured by Hygienox™ at Teknomek Industries Ltd. Its sturdy and hygienic construction is ideal for serving both hot and cold food within many commercial and non-profit sectors, for example hospital wards.

The food service trolley is fitted with large non-marking castors, which allows protection of floor surfaces and ease of movement to various areas within the workplace. It will fit through any standard door frame, to allow the food to be brought to the consumer. Alternatively, the trolley can be used as a self service counter, freeing up staff and giving customers freedom to help themselves, making it highly cost effective.

Hot and cold food, such as soup or jacket potatoes and salad dishes, can be served from the same trolley at the same time, giving consumers a wide range of choice. A 9 litre stainless steel bain-marie powered from a 13A supply and 10 various size gastronorms make up the serving area. A generous restocking area under the serving counter, including a 1/1 gastronorm in a thermal box, provides the ability for quick restocking, enabling more customers to be served while away from the kitchen. Easy to lift out gastronorm trays gives access to all areas for cleaning and a quick turn around when changing food dishes.

Behind the service area is a hygienic plastic sneeze-screen, for the protection from potential unwanted germs. It is easy to wipe clean and remove, and helps to meet all hygienic and safety regulations.

Teknomek can customise the design to suit the customer, giving them confidence that they can meet your most challenging hygienic food service requirements.

Icelandair offers really huge discounts for really short time

November 25th, 2008 No comments

Icelandair, Iceland’s biggest and oldest airline, is offering 25 percent off the cost of economy class fares to Iceland this winter. With the Icelandic krona currently offering such good value for tourists, Iceland has become THE new budget destination.

Iceland’s iconic airline, Icelandair is celebrating the beauty of winter in style by offering 25 percent off economy class flights to Iceland and North America. The discount varies slightly from country to country and is applied before the addition of relevant tax and charges. All discount flights must be taken before the 31 March 2009.

Travellers booking on the United Kingdom and Ireland website receive the quarter-off price on flights to Reykjavik booked before 01 December.

Customers booking their flights on the Norwegian or Swedish websites have to book before the end of 27 November; but they also get the 25 percent discount on flights to the USA as well as Iceland.

Discount bookings on the Icelandair France website must also be made by 27 November and include flights to Reykjavik, Boston and New York.

Icelandair Denmark, Icelandair Germany and Icelandair Netherlands are offering the 25 percent discount on all economy class fares to Iceland booked by the end of 27 November.

Icelandic, Canadian and American customers are not left out either: the Icelandic website is now selling Icelandair’s famous Christmas gift cards. Why not buy a loved one the gift of travel in the New Year for as little as ISK 26,900?

Canadian travellers are able to take advantage of Icelandair flights to Paris from as little as CAD 603, London from CAD 551 and many others including Amsterdam from CAD 600. Also, the “Iceland Getaway” package offers an unbeatably good value taste of beautiful Iceland.

Customers in the USA have the chance to take Icelandair’s new “Unity Fares” – offering return flights to Iceland and Scandinavia from as little as USD 399.

As The IMF and the Nordic countries have banded together to help Iceland in its time of financial need, Icelandair has created Unity Fares as a way of saying “thank you”. What’s more, the strength of the US dollar against the Scandinavian currencies is making the region more welcoming to American travellers than ever. Unity fares must be booked by 27 November.

The Galapagos could be Latin America’s most popular destination in 2009

November 25th, 2008 No comments

Tour operator The Adventure Company is expanding its selection of Galapagos Island tours in preparation for what it predicts will be next year’s travel hot spot.

“The popularity of South America has grown hugely in the past few years, making it the most-booked region in our Worldwide Adventures brochure” comments Claire Wilson, Managing Director “In 2009, we are predicting the ‘Darwin effect’ will encourage more visitors to Ecuador and could see the Galapagos Islands join Machu Picchu at the top of the continent’s ‘must-visit’ list.”

The Galapagos Islands are likely to benefit from increased exposure in 2009, celebrating two important anniversaries for Charles Darwin. As well as the 200th anniversary of his birth, 2009 is also the 150th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work, On the Origin of Species. Additionally, 2009 marks 50 years since the creation of the Galapagos National Park, Darwin’s most famous research destination, while Ecuador will also celebrate the Bicentennial of its Independence with a year of cultural and artistic activities planned in Quito.
